YTLI (YouTube Learning Intelligence) is a learning platform that helps you organise and get more value from your YouTube subscriptions. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with Google LLC or YouTube.

YTLI uses the YouTube API Services to access information about your YouTube subscriptions and channels. By connecting your YouTube account you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

You can revoke YTLI's access to your Google / YouTube data at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing YTLI from the list of connected apps.

• Google account basics: your name, email address, and profile picture, provided by Google during sign-in.
• YouTube subscription data: the list of channels you subscribe to, their titles, descriptions, and public statistics (subscriber count, video count, upload dates). This data is sourced from the YouTube Data API.
• In-app watch activity: when you watch a video inside YTLI we record which video you watched, how long you watched, and what percentage of the video you completed. This data is used to personalise your feed and track learning streaks. It is never shared with YouTube or third parties.
• Learning preferences: goals, interests, and roadmaps you create within YTLI.

We do not collect your YouTube watch history from YouTube itself (the API does not provide this), financial data, or any sensitive personal data.

• Authenticate you and maintain your account.
• Score and categorise your subscriptions using AI to surface the most educationally valuable channels.
• Generate a personalised knowledge feed and learning roadmap.
• Power the AI mentor chat using context from your subscriptions and watch activity.
• Send a weekly digest email summarising your learning progress (if enabled).

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with any third party other than the AI providers listed below.

• Google / YouTube Data API — to read your subscription list. Governed by the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
• Anthropic Claude — to generate channel summaries and AI mentor responses. Only anonymised content (channel names, descriptions) is sent; no personal identifiers.
• OpenAI — to generate semantic embeddings for search. Only text content (video titles, descriptions) is sent.

Authorised YouTube data (subscription list, channel metadata) is refreshed every 30 days as required by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. If your authorisation is revoked or expires, your YouTube-derived data is deleted within 30 days.

AI-derived data (channel scores, summaries, embeddings) and your in-app watch history are retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or full account deletion by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days.

To disconnect YouTube specifically: visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and revoke YTLI's access. We will purge your YouTube-derived data within 30 days.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be notified by email. Continued use of YTLI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
